My husband and I have 3 children and one particular night in the week is busier than usual. Anyway I asked my husband if he could pick up our son from sports club at 8 and he says he can’t he’s working late. Anyway he tells me later that night his friend came to see him at work as he needed to talk about his problems. So he lied to me about working late Fast forward to tonight he goes in to the shop and I have a look in his purse (out of boredom) and I see a pub bill for 28€In the night he said he was with his friend at work . Anyway he comes back to the car and he admits he had 1 beer at the pub and I say I found the bill for 28€ so it was more than 1 beer !! I dont care if he goes out but his lies have been a huge problem in our couple! We even went to counselling for 2 years mainly because of this!!

Yes he's a liar.

You either lie or you don't.

What will you do because you cannot stop someone from lying.

AnneLovesGilbert · 30/04/2022 21:28

Must be so tiring to live like this. He’s treating you with so much disrespect. If he’ll lie like about something like this, what else will he lie about?

Li60 · 30/04/2022 21:36

He keeps insisting he’s not lying!!! It’s driving me nuts. After working all day, coming home to cook clean and ferry the kids to the extra curriculum activities he’s lying about where he is and what he’s doing!!!

So. He lies. You know he is a liar and you keep putting up with it, so do you think he will change when you let him get away with it?

My husband lies for the most silly things, I don't understand why, absolutely no need for it. X
