Lending money..

Is there anything I can do legally to get money off someone? Or will I just have to put it down to experience? Its £140 and tbh at the time I knew there was a high chance he would dick me about so I didn't lend more than I could afford to lose I'm just disappointed. He gave me a sob story about having no money over the easter weekend and he thought he was getting paid Fri but it would be Tuesday. Tuesday he was too busy watching the football but said definitely today. But he's gone quiet. I don't want to row with him I'm just annoyed with myself for being a pleb.

I doubt there's anything legal you can do unless you have some sort of written contract or proof of a verbal one? All you can do is keep up the pressure and never let it go. At least you know what his true colours are, don't forget!

Did you get it in writing? Otherwise no. Unfortunately not have to chalk it up to life experience don't ever lend what you can't afford to get back.

text saying, 'glad I could help out but I need the money by midday, cheers'.

Ask for it back via SM

I have texts from him saying he would pay me back Tues then Thurs so I have proof of sorts. As I say I didn't lend any more than I could afford to lose its just disappointing. He eventually replied and said money not a problem "babe" I'm just away this weekend. And sent a picture of a wad of cash the tosser

Tell him to bank transfer or PayPal then if cash not an issue.
