Am I being childish?

I met my chum 3 years ago as our kids are in the same class and for the first 2 years or so we spent alot of time together, park with the kids, shopping, town etc etc

Then I met a woman at work who ironically used to be good chums with her so I told my pal that I'd seen her and suggested she call her. She did and they were very happy to hear from each other.

Anyway, me and my chum have been on about joining the gym for AGES, we were always close to doing it but she kept saying she was skint...however she's now gone and joined with this other woman. The main reason I'm annoyed is because I didn't think it would hurt to at least invite me along too when she knew I wanted to join.

Anyway then at christmas she arranged to go for a christmas meal with this other woman and never thought to invite me and she took her out for a meal on her birthday.

I'm not jealous as such, I just feel quite dramatically pushed out all of a sudden, its as if she has her old friend back so she doesnt need me anymore.

Am I being babyish?

no, it's not nice to be suddenly dropped. keep inviting her to do things with you occasionally, but I would let it peter out naturally if I were you - try to get in touch with some other friends and don't brood on it.

That sucks big time. How bloody rude of your "chum".

If that happened to me, I wouldn't bother with her now - I'd be polite but that would be about as far as I'd go.

Friendships are a 2 way street - she is not making enough effort and doesn't deserve your time or effort.
