Am I over reacting?

Not sure if I am being I am being unreasonable or not so opinions please. I have been seeing someone since November & we planned to spend this weekend together. Yesterday we had an amazing day together & he was saying we can do x, y, z tomorrow but he did keep changing his mind about what we could do. Anyway this morning we went to the shop & I said what about this for dinner? He then said I won’t be around for dinner as I am going to meet some friends for a drink or two. He could tell I was a bit pissed off & ask why. I said it’s a bit short notice for me to arrange something else considering we were planning to do something together I hadn’t made any plans. Anyway, he went around 3 & has sent a couple of messages talking about tomorrow. Am I right to be annoyed? This is the first thing he has done that has made me feel like this. He has been attentive, good communication etc. However, it feels like a lack of respect to me as though he got a better offer.

No I don’t think you are over reacting. For whatever reason, he certainly ditched you for a better offer, not even politely.

I think I'd be pissed off too!!
He's ditched you without a second thought and made you feel like you're in the wrong for being upset.

Did you meet on a dating site. If so i would say he is still on it and going on a date.

I think he wanted a bit of space and to catch up with his friends but he could have been more up front. It's easy to go too fast in the early stages of a relationship but it's so important to do your own thing too. I don't think there's anything wrong and if you like him keep on seeing him. I think it will work out fine.

Thanks for the thoughts. He messaged late last night to apologise & said he will explain today. I am still annoyed about it as it left me without any plans. I will give him a chance to explain but definitely feel it has affected how I feel about him. It is a shame as it has taken me this long to start to open up to him & now I feel like my barriers are back up again.
