I had heard good things about this dating app, that it's a bit deeper and more genuine than the others. However I didn't like it at all and promptly deleted.
Reason being, I don't like having to match with people before receiving a message from them. For me, this takes the spontaneity away and feels a bit like hard work.
Plus, I wasn't able to see who 'liked' me, unless I upgraded.
Any recommendations for dating apps where you can send or receive messages without necessarily matching with them first?
Have tried Match before, several times over the years, but it becomes quite same-y after a while. Not sure I can face POF again either

I’m pretty sure bumble and tinder you also need to match so that rules them out too! I though pof was the one you can do it on without matching? Is there a reason why you don’t want to use it again? Are you sure you want one where you can message without matching as you want to avoid the one you can do that on?

Hi. Thanks for your reply. I had high hopes for Hinge, but then didn't like the set-up. I am not particularly techy, and didn't find it very user friendly. I like receiving and sending messages without having to scroll through and like/match first.
Maybe I should just stick with Match or POF, because all the others are the same I think.
