Is this normal?

I love my DP and our family, I don't want to break up with him. I just feel like if the first time I met him I could have seen into the future and the issues we've had/how he made me feel at some points then I would have walked away. Does that make sense? Is it normal to feel like this?

Not in a healthy happy relationship. No.

I think it is.
Perhaps he’d have regrets too if you asked him.
None of us can see into the future so you choose a person that’s right to the time. What’s done is done, you can’t go back. Go forward better.

It might be worth thinking about sunk cost falacy, if it's swaying you.

The simple question really is:
Today you're told you've a month to live, do you want the rest of your life to be how you lived yesterday?

It isn’t how it should be but you know that really
