When did you let online date come over to your house?

Been dating someone from tinder for a couple of month or so. Been out for dinner and drinks etc.
I just wondered what the etiquette was to let someone know where you live so they can come round and what the general home line is. Daughter will be at her fathers if I chose to do so.
What did others do?

Whenever you feel comfortable I guess. There’s no hard and fast rule.

When I met my partner it was 7 hours but I’d never let anyone else stay over
I’m still with him 6 years on but looking back I was very stupid

2 months for me

Youknownothingsnow · 04/04/2022 21:23

About a month in I think. It felt right and we had been on 5 dates. It worked for us as nearly 8 years in we are getting married next month!

A month sounds fine to me as long as your child isn’t there which you said they won’t be so that’s fine; wouldn’t do it if child was there personally

Fourth date, so about a month in. I made us dinner and then we did the nasty.

We will shortly be wed, so it worked out. Grin

About a month, it was just a quick coffee visit over lunch. Then invited him over at the weekend for drinks and obviously he knew he was staying. It felt right and i trusted him, had also told a few friends of my plans to do so. I think i joked and said he was staying in the spare room and i probably would have asked him too but we got on very well over drinks, a takeaway and some stand up comedy on netflix so he stayed in my bed that night
