MIL - What would you do?

My DP bought a framed photo of MIL and DC for Mother’s Day. MIL said she loved it, however, when we next went round the photo has been removed from the frame and both are sitting in a stack of papers. Would you say anything or just keep a distance?

That's rude but I would probably leave it and not get her such a thoughtful gift in the future.

Hiddenvoice · 01/04/2022 22:17

That’s a pretty rubbish thing to do but I’d leave it for now. Might be a reason why photo was taken out- maybe not sitting right in frame or she wanted to send it to someone.

Whatinthelord · 01/04/2022 22:23

No I wouldn’t say anything.

Maybeitstimeforachange · 02/04/2022 05:20

Perhaps she dropped the frame and the glass smashed.

Icantfly · 02/04/2022 05:32

She might’ve taken it out to scan it or get it copied or something.

The frame may not be to her liking and she wants to put it in a new one. Though, if she is anything like me it'll take about 5 years to get round to it
