Depends on how much bullshit you want to contend with for the rest of your life and how supportive your partner is.

Yeah. If your partner wants to spend every weekend with them, then that’s very different to seeing them for a duty visit every few months.

Don't spend a long time with this partner. You might get along fine with them now but their parents will nip their heads all along until you long to be apart. The long and short of it is, you don't need this grief. Take the long view - a little discomfort now (saying 'So long' to the partner) is better than long-term grief way into the future.

depends how involved they are in your partners life and how often u would need to see them. I don't get on with my MIL but only see her once a year.
