Living apart due to children

My fiancee and I have been together 4 years, engaged for one. To cut a long story short we attempted to move in together, blend families (we both have children) and it didn't work. The crux of it was different parenting styles I suppose. The reality is that we probably won't live together until our children grow up...10 years away. I love her but I don't want a relationship where I'm only seeing someone a couple of times a week. I feel like i can either have the person i want or the type of relationship I want but not both. I dont know what to do.
