Prep to leave, any advice please?

With my partner of 6 years, but things aren't working and I'm so unhappy. He's not a helpful dad to our DC and I'm just so fed up of doing it all by myself figure I'd be better of by myself with DC. We aren't married and we rent.
I have no family to help.
Am I in a good position to go it alone? I earn around 1,200 a month- feel I'm not in the best position to rent alone but not sure if any other options?
Any experience stories or advice welcome please I'm at the end of my rope.

Have you tried talking to him about it and setting out how you feel? Parenting small DC is hard. Perhaps discuss how you could split the housework and childcare.

If it's definitely over I'd suggest checking what benefits you are entitled to and how much CMS you'd receive? This will give you a better idea of how much rent you could pay and whether you could take over your tenancy

I am sure you will be entitled to some financial help and if your partner works then they will need to pay child benefits. It can be done going it alone although tough and lonely at times. Check the website entitled2 you may get an idea of what you can claim? And all the best

In terms of peeping, the two things at the top of my list were increasing my income and getting a car.
