I feel really unsure about posting this but here goes.

So my DH and I have a young child. And I have made mistakes, I’ll hold my hand up to that.

But I feel that DH just thinks I’m a rubbish mum. He makes ‘jokey’ comments about it all the time but they aren’t funny. I find some of them really upsetting.

I’m so much happier interacting with DS when he’s not around.

That’s rotten he’s making you feel like that. I think you now need to explain this to him.
Explain how rubbish he is making you feel and that it is not a joke to you.

Sounds like the passive aggressive comments I used to get. Very toxic.
As pp has said, point out to him that he’s not funny and you don’t want his remarks and go from there.
