Partners getting annoyed over the stupidest things

A while ago on here I read a post going on about triangle legs which made me laugh. I showed it to DP who said it was stupid but I still found it funny. Then a couple of times I called him it for a laugh "triangle legs" just like he calls me daft names and the first time he just told me to pack it and the second time he went really mad and told me to fuck off He does this with a few things, he's ok to rip the piss out of me but as soon as I say anything about him he goes mad.

I'm just wondering how your partners would react if you called them something like triangle legs, would they go off on one or is it just my dp thats a miserable bastard?

I'm sorry,Cherry, but your post made me laugh! Sounds like your other half has had a sense of humour failure.

Does he really have triangle legs??

tiredemma · 05/01/2008 18:01

what are triangle legs?

What are triangle legs?

Thanks Maidamess

I'm not really sure what triangle legs are to be honest, it was just taken from another thread I saw saying that her hsuabnd had triangle legs and it made no sense but really made me laugh. I just called DP it for a laugh and he got all huffy despite all the stupid names he calls me.

Sorry to be blunt but I think you're both a bit childish - calling each other names? do your children hear you? Hardly model behaviour. Fair enough if it's in jest but if he's told you to "pack it in" why would you continue? The whole point of a joke is that both the joker and the jokee find it funny.

If he's not enjoying it, why is it still funny? It sounds like the thing that's actually funny to you, is annoying him.

Similarly, if him taking the piss out of you annoys and upsets you, you should say as much to him and ask him to stop!
