A man you’re considering dating sending you fart videos

Would this put you off? A short video of him doing some DIY during which he lifts up a leg, farts loudly and says ‘that was a loud one’. I laughed it off but now he’s sent a tic tok video link of someone farting into an intercom in a store and I’m thinking our sense of humour is not aligned as I thought it was. Am I being too precious? We’ve only been talking online for 2 weeks and my immediate thought was ‘eurgh, how unsexy’.

That would be a no from me as soon as I got that first video.

He is very disrespectful and possibly softening you up for some farty fetish and a terrible sex life.

RedRoseRay · 13/03/2022 16:40

I messaged him to say I don’t think fart videos are funny, we have a different sense of humour so I’m saying goodbye, wished him all the best for the future then blocked him. Glad to hear so many others wouldn’t be comfortable with this either and I’m not being over sensitive.

I’d give Mr Fartybottom a wide berth.

My 12 year old DD and her friend made fart videos of each other and sent them to a school group chat.

I hit the roof. It's wrong on so many levels. Its perverse, bizarre and she is grounded for the first time in her life. She humiliated herself and has tarnished her reputation at school. She is now known as the weirdo who makes fart videos with that even weirder friend who farted. Gutted for her.

I have no idea why you're even asking this question.

“Tarnished her reputation”

LOL, is she the daughter of a Victorian Viscount?

He sounds a like he's 12. Jesus. Who sends this stuff to a woman he's getting to know. Thank God he has though - now you'll know what'll be in store if you ever progress to something serious and end up sleeping and living together.

@fuckoffImcounting Could be that, or it could be that he's immature and very badly socialised with women. Some men do genuinely send things to women that they would send to their male friends.
MrsLegend · 13/03/2022 19:42

That is very very unattractive.

I also think it's disrespectful!

Why is the friend even weirder when they both filmed eachother doing the same thing? 😂

It is weird but kids are weird sometimes and I think your reaction is probably more hurtful than the kids at school.
