A man you’re considering dating sending you fart videos

Would this put you off? A short video of him doing some DIY during which he lifts up a leg, farts loudly and says ‘that was a loud one’. I laughed it off but now he’s sent a tic tok video link of someone farting into an intercom in a store and I’m thinking our sense of humour is not aligned as I thought it was. Am I being too precious? We’ve only been talking online for 2 weeks and my immediate thought was ‘eurgh, how unsexy’.

My 12 year old DD and her friend made fart videos of each other and sent them to a school group chat.

I hit the roof. It's wrong on so many levels. Its perverse, bizarre and she is grounded for the first time in her life. She humiliated herself and has tarnished her reputation at school. She is now known as the weirdo who makes fart videos with that even weirder friend who farted. Gutted for her.

I would ru for the hills and never look back. Bet he turns out to be one of those pathetic losers who think noting of farting during a quiet part of a wedding or funeral and expect a laugh.

A lot of men find humour in farts whereas most women don't. Most men realise this on their early 20s. The fart jokes continue, just with their mates rather than with ladies.

Sounds like he never got the memo or ignored it. It would turn me off hugely but if everything was fabulous (I doubt it is), I just might get over it if it didn't happen often.

I can laugh at a fart, but 2 weeks in, sending videos to someone you barely know.... odd. Very odd.

My three year old grandson likes to fart. He will come near you and do one for the reaction. He also likes to shout the word 'poo' a lot and 'arse', but then again.. he is only three.

He does not do it when we are out - only at home so he knows it is naughty.

Hysterically funny if you are between the ages of 5 and 15 but after that it wears a bit thin.......unless in a ltr and view it as a competion to outfart each other 🤣🤣

@RedRoseRay, it doesn't matter what anyone else likes in men or what they think about this (or your reaction to it), it's your feelings that matter, and if you don't like something that's what you need to consider. So either bin him ("sorry, I don't think our sense of humour is aligned"), or give him 1 chance by telling him that you're not into farting and see what happens.

Also, as PPs have said, unless you're only after an online chat relationship, stop the 2 weeks+ messaging. It creates a false impression of someone and you only know if there's chemistry by actually meeting in real life. You can waste lots of time and energy on someone unsuitable otherwise. There are loads of time-wasters online who just want to chat and will string you along.
