I saw a friend earlier. Back in the day we had lots of mutual friends. They kept complaining about how they always get invited out to parties and meals etc still by these people. He said he doesn't know why he is invited as he don't see them much anymore and it's too far for him to come as he lives 40 minutes away and he said he needs a drink and can't go without a drink. He said people have moved on as some of them are married now which is why some of them don't come. He seemed to keep dwelling on the year 2016 being good with them as they saw each other more. I just kept thinking why is he so ungrateful that he is being invited out. I wish I had more friends who would think to invite me out. Some of these people were really nice too. It's like he thinks he is too good for them. It gets me down as he complains about them every so often and I don't like his negativity.
