Why do I keep mentioning my ex and what he did to me

I split a few weeks ago, readjusting to life, I keep mentioning especially if I’m out with friends to people what he did, it’s quite specific but today I noticed that when I’d had a few drinks last night I told a few random people in the pub.. I don’t want to mention the bloke or bring it up. I think it may be my brain processing or but I want to stop this silly behaviour. Any thoughts on how I can move forward please

It's only been a few weeks. How long were you with him?

Are you trying to date again already ?

It's just your head processing the breakup. Perfectly normal.

It is a natural thing to do, I think most of us have done this at times.
Your brain is trying to process your experiences.
To move forward fill your time with hobbies you enjoy, exercise even if it is only a walk, spending time with people who care about you. Trying out new activities, meeting new people. There is no hurry to get into another relationship.
The more content and happy you are, the quicker he will become a distant memory.

Ok I've not been with my ex for 5 years and whwn I'm drunk I still talk about the things he did to me. Sober I can keep it locked up, drunk me let's it out.

Mine is PTSD and the beer brings down that wall. It's hard to get over some stuff. Really hard.
