Can I fall in love with my husband again

I have been with my husband 20 years. I love him but I don't think I am in love with him. Is it possible to fall in love with him again

It is possible if you both of you want to. If there's poor communication and lack of commitment to spending time together without other things getting in the way, then no.

What is "love"? In my 40 years I've come to my own conclusions. I believe it's either something that is arrived at out of mutual respect and appreciation of one another. Or it's this feeling you get when you first get with someone, this wonderment, this aching for that person, which often passes in 6 months to a year's time.

You obviously don't have the latter any longer. So, do you have the former?

We spend a lot of time together, we get on really well and I know my husband loves me. He is a wonderful man. I don't know if there is something wrong with me. I don't get that passion for him anymore. It's only the last year or so. I want to be in love with him I just don't seem able

I’ve been married 20 years. I occasionally go through phases of wishing I’d get that excited feeling again one day. But I’m not sure it happens after a certain point in life? I do find that I also go through times of really appreciating him and enjoying being with him, particularly if we do something fun together.

There was an exhibition on love at South Bank a while back, they had all the ancient Greek words for love, long term love was pragma, where we get the word pragmatic from. I felt that was really fitting.

For some reason, I fall in love with DH again when we holiday. Maybe it's the stress free environment, warm sun, alcohol on tap etc....
