Tinder app

Married for 15 years, I think we have a good relationship but just checking our Apple account for subscriptions which is a linked family account and Tinder was showing a cloud symbol. I don’t and never had tinder. Searched on DH phone just to see if he has the app and a cloud symbol was beside the Tinder app. Does this mean he has downloaded it in the past ?

Yes a cloud means it’s been downloaded otherwise it would say install next to it.

Fedupbuyer · 19/02/2022 20:51

Or open.

CrunchyAcorns · 19/02/2022 21:07

@Fedupbuyer

Or open.
Thanks I thought so. Just needed to clarify

Sorry but would this be on his current phone or could it be a historic purchase. I know it makes not difference as it’s a 15 year relationship but just need to have some clarity to confront him. Thanks

It could be historic. It would show that if he's purchased it at any time since having that Apple ID
RoyKentsChestHair · 19/02/2022 21:12

Don’t think the phone would be relevant, it’s linked to the Apple ID. When I got a new phone it automatically installed all the same apps and shows the cloud next to ones I used to have on my old phone but have since deleted.

He will say he was curious or a friend asked him to check out their profile or some shit. Do you have reason to suspect he’s been on it or was it just a random find?

RoyKentsChestHair · 19/02/2022 21:13

Did you meet him online?

danorak · 19/02/2022 21:14

How long has he had an iPhone for?

CrunchyAcorns · 19/02/2022 21:16

So is there anyway of seeing on the shared account what date it was downloaded?

Just to give another perspective- I’ve been married 12yrs and with my husband for 14 but when Tinder first came out and everyone was talking about it in about 2013 I downloaded it just to see what it was all about. Never ended up having a proper profile or anything obviously but definitely flicked through a few blokes in my area out of curiosity. I genuinely had no improper intentions, it’s just everyone was talking about it and I wanted to see what it was all about. I have a friend who did the same, I’m sure it’s quite common. Obviously not saying one way or another that that’s what your husbands done @CrunchyAcorns but it’s a possibility.

CrunchyAcorns · 19/02/2022 21:22

@BurnDownTheDiscoHangTheDJ. Thanks. I’m trying to keep rational.

@CrunchyAcorns I hope it’s just a case of daft curiosity. Talk to your husband and good luck.

Manxiety · 19/02/2022 23:21

If you go to the App Store app & look at Profile then Purchased it'll show you the date on there.

AllOfUsAreDead · 20/02/2022 00:53

I'd just look on his phone to be honest. Most important thing to find out is if he's still using it. Then see when it was downloaded and installed.

Fedupbuyer · 20/02/2022 07:34

Yes on mine it tells me the date it was downloaded underneath it.
