Torn apart, Tell me it gets better

So long story short. Wife (I'm female too) told me she was unhappy in summer. That I had made her so in a variety of ways, but mostly not made her opinion feel valued, made her feel unwanted etc. Particularly since my mum got ill & subsequently died in April 2020.
Was enough of a shock to kick me into action, got some therapy (ongoing) and went to doctor for medication etc.
Told me she wanted to try again in October. Fast forward to Jan, I find out she has been seeing someone else, a mutual work colleague, since the summer. Lying about where she's been etc. Has just got worse since then, not a mistake in her view, has told OW she loves her etc. now openly walking around workplace together.
Just feel like I'm being torn apart. Please tell me it gets better.

Have you split? If not that would be the first thing I'd do

Creamfirst22 · 17/02/2022 18:59

@Peanut82 yes but still living in same house & have to until September when I'm back full time at work (school so contract can't change any sooner). Sharing care of toddler DS

Oh I'm so sorry. It is so painful.

Yes, it gets better. But it takes time and I know it's miserable in the meantime.

Creamfirst22 · 17/02/2022 19:12

@CousinKrispy thank you. I think I need to be more patient but it's so hard

She has treated you awfully op, is there anything you can do about your living arrangements. She could move out? Could you demand that she does?

I don’t think you’ll be able to hold on all the way until September living and working with her, and working with the other woman too. It will drive you insane.

I think we are going to take it in turns in the house, I can't afford to pay for everything without her unfortunately, until my job changes.
We could, of course, sell the house now but I really don't want to lose it (good area, lovely house etc), just have to suck it up I guess 😬😬
