Is this anxiety?

Not sure if I’ve posted in the right section but I’m struggling to know what’s wrong with me.

Basically I seem to have a sense of dread quite a lot of the time. When I stop to think through it, nothing has changed in my life. The fizzing stomach feeling seems to be there a lot though. Like something awful is going to happen but it’s not clear what.
I function day to day - get my son to school, hold down a busy job - but I I’ve got awful brain fog at times, and I procrastinate, I can’t seem to make decisions easily. I hate it. Things seem like a massive effort.

Wtf is wrong with me?

It sounds like it could be. Have a chat with your GP perhaps?

Yes that definitely sounds like anxiety IMO

Are you female? It could be ADHD

It presents itself differently in adult women. I know a couple of women who got diagnosed recently and they both had a sense of dread a lot of the time, procrastination, brain fog etc.

I would say anxiety. I’d see what your GP recommends.

Could it be peri menopause? If so recommend postcards from midlife podcast

Aquamarine1029 · 13/02/2022 05:50

Could be hormonal imbalance, which may or may not be peri-menopause.
