So I've just been on a date (met online) he's a lovely guy but I just didn't fancy him.

What is the polite way to say I don't want to see him again please.

Hi X, had a lovely time last night and enjoyed our meeting, I'm afraid there just wasn't that spark for me to take it from friends to something more. All the best, reallynotfair

You’re a great guy and I had a lovely time. Just didn’t get a romantic vibe

Yuckypretty · 12/02/2022 17:31

I had a great time but I see you as a friend rather than anything more.

AnotherSillawithanS · 12/02/2022 17:44

Say what you'd like to hear if you were on the receiving end.

RedCandyApple · 12/02/2022 18:15

Don’t say the friend thing if you don’t plan to stay in contact

Ceriane · 12/02/2022 21:37

Don’t say I see you as a friend unless you mean it genuinely, do not use it as a polite way of saying I don’t fancy you. I did this and couldn’t seem to shake the person off as they still fully expected to stay in touch and continue to meet up because we were “friends”.

It was lovely to meet you but I don't think we are a good match
