To trust single men without kids?

I'm a young single mom to a 2 1/2 year old...split with my ex close to 2 years ago and recently decided to date again...a lot of single guys without children are interested in dating me but my friends are warning me to be careful because "they aren't serious..they will end up breaking up with you because you have a child and you'll get hurt"
Is this true for most men? Am I better off only dating men who also have child/ren?

There is no “most men”.

A man with his own might be more understanding of your life but if he doesn’t see them often or they’re much older he might not.

A man without his own might want some, do you want more?

You need to take care, as you would without baggage but plenty of single men are open to a relationship with a child involved, it’s easier with a young child because they don’t have a strong bond with their father.
It’s all about you being a desirable partner, so be honest and open, if a man is seriously interested it won’t make any difference.

How old are you? I think this might be reasonable if you’re in your early / mid 20s but not if you’re pushing 30 or 40. Anyway as a pp said there is no ‘most men’ - you just need to just date and assess each guy at a time. This is why, until you gel with someone, it’s better to play the field during the initial days of OLD. So you get to understand what kind of guys you’re attracting in the first place on that site. Not all sites are great for all people.

I'm in my mid twenties which is why a lot of guys my age don't have children

Ye I thought so. In that case yes I do think your friends have a point. I would probably extend the age range up to as far as you feel comfortable with

I think they are saying just be wary as a lot of men do target single mums for various reasons....

Yes, be wary that's all.
I have heard that some men 'target' single mums for 'easy' sex as they are all 'desperate'.
