Alternatives to marriage

I divorced young with no children from my previous marriage. After I met and got together with DP and we have had a child together. He has 2 children from his previous relationship and has never been married.
We own a house together and are both on the mortgage, we pay the same each month but I put a significant amount more into the deposit and so we have a legal agreement in place protecting this. I also have about £20k in savings right now and hope to continue adding to this.
As much as I love my partner (and his children) I want to make sure that my daughter receives everything that she is due from me. I would not want to risk something happening to me first and my assets going to my partner to then be given to his children, they will already inherit from their own mother. For this reason I don't want to marry DP, which he is fine with. However, I would love to do something romantic to personally vow our commitment to one another. I'm not talking about a ceremony or anything or even inviting other people, I just sometimes think about my wedding day with my EXH and how special it felt to be making those vows to one another and would love to experience that kind of feeling with DP.
Are there any alternatives we could do, like a blessing? Has anyone ever known anyone to do anything like this?

Try contacting a local independent celebrant. They will have loads of ideas for a personalised way for you to demonstrate your commitment to own another. This could be something like a blessing, hand-fasting, commitment ceremony (with just the two of you)
