(Name changed for this as i’m a MN old timer.)

Me and H are separating. We love each other, but in a kind of brother/sister way. This has been going on for years and the sexual rejection has almost ruined me Sad He’s a good man and a great dad to our dc. We’re currently staying in the house together.

It’s all very new, i’ve been with him my entire adult life, and today I feel utterly despairing and overwhelmed and i need to hear all your positive stories please! i can’t even imagine the future at the moment.

Hi OP,

was in pretty much the same situation as you. We were together but apart in the same house for a year and a bit and then I was able to buy elsewhere.
It was not, as you can imagine ideal but we rubbed along together and have managed to co-parent quite well since then.

Like you it was a brother/sister or housemate type relationship.
It was a little bumpy between my daughter and I at the start but things settled down very quickly and I think everyone is happier.
