Newish relationship- 8 months in. Both late 30s with 1 child each, his 11. He has his every other weekend and 1 night in the week. Very happy so far, nothing amiss. Don't obviously live together, I've not met his ex, he has met mine once.
However!
Seems such a stupid little thing, but I've noticed that whenever he has his dc over he removes all my stuff out of the bathroom, which leads me to think he hasn't told his dc that I stay etc. it's made me a little uncomfortable, but I don't know if it is something I should be taking note of?!?

Have you told your dc about him? Sounds like he’s just cautious about when he wants to introduce you to his dc

I’d not be worried about that at this stage personally. 8 months isn’t long.

Thanks guys. I've never pushed for any sort of speed - taking this slowly as I really like this one! I'm in no hurry to meet dc.

Whilst it may sting a bit, it’s actually a sign that he’s a good Dad in that he doesn’t want to introduce his dc to the idea that he’s having a serious relationship until it’s well established. He’s putting their needs first which means he’s a good father, I’d see it as a good thing.

girlmom21 · 31/01/2022 06:29

Yeah I think this is a good sign, if anything

itstoobloodyearly · 31/01/2022 06:36

Oh that's lovely. Yes he definitely is a good dad!
