I live in Scotland so the obvious choice would be Gretna but I'm not sure about it.

Has anybody eloped somewhere in the U.K. that they would recommend?

It would just be DP & DS. My DF and a friend as witnesses.

Only thing I'm bothered about is a place to get nice pictures

York registery office is not far fromYork gardens which would be lovely for photos.

In Scotland you can get married anywhere you like, so why not pick a pretty spot, find a celebrant and go for it? Lots of nice spots in the Highlands and the west coast - book a good photographer and you'll be sorted.
Skye is very popular.

I was in Glencoe in the autumn and a couple were getting married in one of the Glens. Their wedding pics would have been amazing..

The Lodge on Loch Goil is stunning my brother got married there.

CREAR wee weddings. The cottage is lso very and they take you to the beach to get married. It’s just across the water from Jura.
