Birthday with my baby

Hi all,
It's my birthday in 2 weeks and it is my first birthday as a wife and mother (he is 4 months)
My husband is lazy and thoughtless and will not make an effort for my birthday, last year he didn't even get me a card so I made a point to say to him don't make any effort for my birthday this year and I won't do anything for your birthday either. I'd rather have no expectations than to be left disappointed.
I would like to have a day out with my baby, does anyone have any recommendations for nice things to do? I was thinking to go for a walk in Kew Gardens and can't think of anything else...
Any recommendations would be appreciated - thank you!

Do you have a friend you can spend the day with? With your baby too (and theirs)?

I presume that you're London area?
With a 4 month old, the world's your oyster as you don't need to consider their needs!
Galleries, museums, exhibition, parks, wandering the shops, people watching...

Why do you stay with him?

Kew would be nice. You could go and have a cake when baby falls asleep.

The Picturehouse chain of cinemas do a thing called ‘The Big Scream’, where you can take your baby.

Kew sounds wonderful. That would be my choice then coffee and cake in the cafe. Why are you with this man?

Kew gardens does sound lovely and less blunt than my initial thought which was a divorce lawyer.

I hope you have a lovely day OP and spoil yourself.

Kew would be lovely, and you can get yourself afternoon tea as a birthday treat to yourself in the brasserie

Similarly for my first birthday as a wife and mother (in same year) I spent the day with my little baby and loved it. I started with a bath (just water no bubbles) and my baby splashed about and breastfed in the bath and it was just magical.
