I got a card once, handed over quite sheepishly, I said "never do this again"! Grin

DH made me a linen rose for whichever in linen. It’s stunning, he made it so beautifully.

A silver bracelet for our 25th. He had my sister help him choose it so it was perfect.

A surprise stay in a really fancy hotel for a couple of nights. With baked brownies and chilled wine waiting for us...

CoddledAsAMommet · 21/01/2022 19:16

Tea in a polystyrene cup.
It was our first wedding anniversary, we'd moved the day before into a dodgy rental with a key for the electricity, except the key was missing so we couldn't even boil a kettle. He'd woken up early and snuck out to find a cafe in an area we didn't know so I could wake up to a cup of tea.
He knows me well.
It'll be 24 years of marriage this year and he's still wonderful.

He learnt how to knit for our second wedding anniversary and knitted me a dozen red roses! Not sure he’ll ever top that.

Not traditional, but a piece of safety equipment for a slightly dangerous hobby so that I wouldn't get injured.

A surprise trip to Rome

A day trip to London as a surprise and we had a lovely meal at a posh restaurant,
Last year he surprised me with a holiday to hawaii.

An eternity ring. I said you should get one for your first anniversary or first baby and I was struggling to conceive at the time ( took 2.5 years and treatment) so the ring was a lovely gift

My husband was in Moscow for our first Wedding Anniversary,he sent me a dozen red roses, the card said “from Russia with love”.

I still have the card,I was widowed years ago, when still young,so it’s a treasure to me.

SquirrelG · 22/01/2022 04:37

We didn't do gifts, but I once got roses sent to me at the local Polytech when I was doing a course there! I think the rest of the class were impressed.

RantyAunty · 22/01/2022 04:58

a parakeet

I just had my 25th last month. We had 4 nights in a gorgeous hotel in wine country (not in the UK). But the best bit was my husband agreed to be designated driver while I could visit my choice of wineries. Oh and he arranged a champagne picnic on the beach! I am very lucky!

beenwhereyouare · 22/01/2022 15:39

20 gorgeous long-stemmed roses in all colors delivered to me at work. The card said "Thank you for 20 wonderful years.

It was our 21st.

Later I asked him which year he didn't like. 😆😆

trickytimes · 22/01/2022 16:59

This is so lovely. I’ve been married almost 20 years and never had anything like this. Not even a card. One year he even went out with his mates for a drink on our wedding anniversary leaving me at home with the baby. Surprised we made it this far to be honest!

Notmrsfitz · 22/01/2022 17:04

It’s not my wedding anniversary nor is it romantic but I feel I need to share - my anniversary gifts whilst being with my partner have been
A sideboard
A gym membership
A dress

And ….., a reel of cable !!!

It was last year it was snowing it was our anniversary I couldn’t get to work so I had the day off, I rang him and he came home early saying look what I’ve got for you …. And he proudly stood there with a drum of cable !!!! Saying that now, I could have plug sockets wherever I wanted them (he is a retired electrician) and he was really proud of his gift !!!! 🙄
