Money

So a few years ago my mum won some money in the lottery. She very kindly gifted myself and sisters 3000 Pounds each.
I bought myself a treadmill for 300 and the rest was to use on a family holiday. Imagine my surprise when I found my husband had used the money to put into his failing business without asking! When I confronted him about it he was very matter of fact and unapologetic. I was a sahm at the time but that shouldn’t matter AIBU to still feel angry about this 2 years later?

That was a really shit thing for him to do. The money was a gift to you from your mum so him taking it was out of order.

Wow, I would be absolutely fuming. Shared money in marriage, yes. To spend it without consulting you is very wrong

How about if you took money out of his business without telling you?

Telling HIM

Santahasjoinedww · 19/01/2022 19:10

Well I hope he pays you back.

I know he would be fuming if I did that do him though he thinks it’s ok for him do it to me ! I’m still raging about it
