Not new to Tinder but struggle with bio.

I would like a long term relationship and casual dating not my thing.

Interests:- nature, countryside, walking, cycling, vegetarian cooking, animal lover.
Value kindness, integrity and loyalty.
Would like someone who is consistent in communication and is independent like myself.

I do find the older I get the less patience I have for most people and if they are crap company rather be alone.

Just bumping this in case any Tinder veterans are about and can help with the OP's bio.

If this is part of your profile, I'd lose it...

@LightSpeeds good grief no lol. Just how I feel with the online dating process currently.

I'd prefer to meet someone in real life. Chemistry is very important to me and I don't get much sense from just reading a profile or looking at photos. I don't think it works for people like me.

I don't think the right person is out there for me tbh. If they were I'd of met then by now. I'm 39 so given up. Luckily I don't want children.

If the above is what you're proposing to have in your profile, I think that seems perfectly reasonable? Perhaps a little dry but honest enough - a range of pics which bring that to life a bit will help.

As for the desire for a long term relationship - Putting your cards on the table is (IMO) generally a good thing, but it's got to start somewhere. If there is the possibility that some potentials find that statement a little scary, maybe an alternative way of communicating it could be around ' interested in what could develop' (or something). Not suggesting that you don't say it, just wondering about different ways it could be worded.

By the way totally get you on the desire to find someone honest and with integrity but as a side note, be wary of the male bios that actually go as far as to self-proclaim exactly those qualities.... in my experience they tend to be the fake/scam profiles!

It all sounds a bit jaded and low energy tbh! Not sure how to perk it up but your lack of enthusiasm for dating is coming across loud and clear in that bio.

Reads as “have had enough of flaky men who let me down, and needy babies”

Which may of course be true, but even though it’s positive about what you DO want, it does sound a little like a negative!

RoyKentsChestHair · 19/01/2022 15:12

Ah I see the last line isn’t actually part of it - that helps Grin

@FireandBrimstone Thanks for your suggestions. I've deleted the apps. CBA with it!
