I’m hoping to leave h in May I’ve set two bank accounts of my own so will be safe money wise. He doesn’t know about one one I’ve told him it’s for saving for next Christmas Of course my name will come off the joint account but since I do everything online do I take photos to show solicitor (quick divorce law in April) or does have to be paper.

Why will your name come off the joint account?

If you do everything online you can download pdf statements and save them/email to yourself.

You have to declare all assets ( including those he doesn't know about).

It’s likely you will need his agreement to removal of your name from the joint account. Both my ex husband and I had to sign forms to transfer the account to my sole name. My partner currently can’t close down his joint account with his ex wife even though it is empty and isn’t being used because his ex wife hasn’t responded to any requests to give her agreement to do so. He also cannot have his name removed without her consent.

My only advise is that the solicitor is the only proton who can tell you what the require, paper or otherwise.
