To sleep with someone!?

I had the first successful date on nye in over 2 years! It was easy , he's great company, no awkward silences , had a fabulous evening, he was a gentleman, pud for a meal and drinks , and we kissed goodbye.
We met again for a few hours New Year's Day for a walk and again 3 hours flew .
He kissed me goodbye , it wasn't awkward at all, just felt the right thing . We'd held hands on the walk , and throng have been flirty / saucy by text .

I'm seeing him again mid week .

He definitely fancies me - and the flirting has been nice - I've not considered sex with anyone for a long time .

When is it "acceptable " to think about sex ? I guess this would be a third date - I'm going there . The distance is a bit of a pain at just over an hours drive ....I don't want to rush in but don't want my hang ups to get the better of me either !

Is it better to take things slowly ? Build on the good start ? Opinions welcome ....

I think it's what you're comfortable with. If you think you're ready then go for it.
I've slept with partners after the 2nd date and also after 3 months. It's all about how you (and they) are feeling and if sex is on the table.

Good luck and don't forget, have fun!

Personally, I wouldn't go on a date, then a walk, then on a third meet-up have sex but that's just me.

Everyone is different and you do what feels right for you.

No I do t think that's on the cards yet - he's said he wouldn't rush me anyway and he's enjoying the mental connection and the holding hands etc ....I guess the sexual tension is there - but I'm not ready for that yet .

It's all been ridiculously easy so I don't want to complicate it or mess it up .
We've opted for beach and pub .
And I've said while I'm really enjoying the sexy banter - I'm not
Rushing in . He's totally fine with that .

Look, do what feels right. I was always a waiter, much more on the longer side of things than most people I know. When I met DH we slept together the night we met. Not planned at all but felt right. The chemistry was huge, still is over 11 years later. Do what you think feels right - and enjoy the connection/ dates/sex/ all of it.

This is dead easy, when you feel comfortable to cuddle up on the sofa and see what happens - you will know when you want to take him to bed.

It's totally up to you. I slept with OH on the first date, we have been together 7 years and just got married. Do what you both feel comfortable with.

When you both feel ready. For me that's often been before we've been on a proper date! Others it's been a few weeks.
