Have you ever had a row with a friend where you really really screamed at them?

Because I never have, and I overheard a friend on the phone the other day and she really shrieked at this other friend of hers, and I was really .

She is under a lot of stress atm, but I still couldn't believe it, somehow the only people I shout at are my children , and dh.

Can't say that I have but maybe she had her reasons.

no

I did sort of shout at one once - about 20 years ago and we're still friends so it can't have been that bad

I only shout at family as well

no

But a friend I used to share a house with had a screaming fit at me once. Very disconcerting, as she was slicing bread at the time, and ended up waving the knife around...

I shouted at my best mate at uni once. She was rich and spoiled and so self important. I think she shouted back. We never held it against each other but I guess I remember it because it was so unusual.

Oh, and I still love her to bits.

I'd also like to add that I was 19 (many, many year ago).

I have screamed at my ex but not a friend.

Bink · 20/12/2007 21:11

When I was 7 or so.
Still remember it, with horror - where we were standing, and everything.
Still friends with friend.

yep, about 18m ago i had a stand up row with a friend who had come to visit from the US at a very stressful time for me.

ultimately, she was about 3 months late on the visit. i'd said when was a good time to come, she'd ignored that and come when it suited her and not me.

i was a single parent to a 4m old, my marriage was disintegrating and i had just had to move out of the family home that had been sold.

essentially, i didn't want her to come when she did. she came anyway, i resented it and things simmered for a few days then they exploded.

we're still mates but i have to admit to being a bit more reserved than i used to be.

RIELOVESBACARDI · 20/12/2007 21:27

yes and yes we mates again now

pinetreedog · 20/12/2007 21:36
