During last year I went on a few dates with an acquaintance. He then ghosted me to ‘focus on his career’. He contacted me 6 months later by that point I had decided I don’t want to date a narcissistic gas-lighter. It was all about him and he never asked about my life.

We bumped into each other in a pub and he didn’t like me talking to 2 guys and was arsey with me. Another time he said I need to watch my weight.

While I know I am better off without this toxic man in my life it still bothers me he has moved on and as we are in the same social circles he has recently joined some of the outdoors groups I belong to. I really don’t want to bump into him again at these groups.

I want to meet a kind man and it isn’t him. What is the best way forward?

Hes not moved on if you can't speak to people without him being arsey. Just ignore him completely hes not a friend hes an ex.

Best to avoid him where possible, join different groups or go on different days to him.
Try dating other men? If you start to like someone else, you'll care less about him.

I’m going to start meeting new men in the New Year and avoid him. Just hate these nutjobs who don’t want you but don’t want anyone else to have you.
