'Ick' after sex

Bit of an odd one!

I've never had an issue with sex before. I've had long term relationships and whilst single I've enjoyed one night stands and regular FWBs.

However, recently I've found that every time I've had sex with someone, I've immediately got the 'ick' with no reason why! I've had to call off potential new relationships because the moment we have sex I end up feeling repulsed and no longer find them attractive.

I feel so awful about this! I don't know what's wrong with me.

So you're attracted to them and enjoy the sex at the time - but afterwards you're like "nah"? Have you had a bad run of guys who are shit in bed maybe? Has anyone ghosted you following sex - could you be in self-defence mode of cutting them off before you can get hurt?

On a different tack - have you had any hormonal changes recently such as changing contraception or potentially entering peri-menopause?

@EvenMoreFuriousVexation

Thanks for responding! On the last few occasions I've really liked the person.
Before having sex and during I'm extremely attracted to them and there are no issues. Immediately after I feel almost repulsed by the person and can't allow myself to have sex again. Despite it being enjoyable. I have no idea why! They don't do anything wrong and they are nice people that I could see myself with. But immediately the attraction goes.

I'm not sure if my hormones aren't level but I've not changed anything. I'm only mid twenties

Are you protecting yourself? Rejecting them before they can reject you?

Is there any chance you could be pregnant?

If all the people this has happened with are men: are you sure you're straight?

My friend used to have have lot of casual sex and then started to feel like you do.
She realised that she had used sex as an way to self-harm / sabotage and it was just her body’s way of sayin enough is enough.

I’ve had this a couple of times lately. They are nice people, I’d love to spend more time with them, they were OK in bed although didn’t really work for me. Nothing to obviously trigger the tremendous ick that took over?
I believe it was because the sex was unsatisfactory due to physical factors, and my body often realises I’m in a poor situation before my head gets there.

And one time it was also because the guy seems to hate blankets and duvets and I was freezing! Not sexy to need to go home to get warm.

I used to get this and realised it was an issue with intimacy , I didn’t want / wasn’t ready for intimacy with the people despite thinking I was and the enforced closeness gave me the ick
