Hullo, Just an update to say thanks to all those who helped on here through the hard times me and DP have had this year. Things are much much better now and we seemed to have turned a corner. I am certainly not worrying every day about me and DS's future.

I was really prepared to walk out many times but didn't because of DS - instead I insisted he move out, which he didn't do - and which made things quite unbearable for a long time. But things truely looking better now. Thanks girls

It's just good to see he decided to make an effort with your relationship and you were in a place where you could both work on it.

It was a chapter 6("Loves assasin: self justfication in marriage") in this book that helped him get his head round it all. It basically points out all the strategies that people who have fucked up and hurt people try to implement to excuse themselves - which makes things go from bad to worse.

he bought it for other reasons, I read that chapter first and asked him to read it, To which he said "no", I said "fuck you then" and stormed off only to come back later and he's read it all and had an epiphany. I very nearly fucked that one up!

This is huge, great news to hear.

I've been better, bad insomnia, but another expat who is repatriated is selling me her SAD lamp so I'm pleased .
