Holiday tomorrow don't want to leave dp

Due to go on holiday tomorrow for 2 weeks. Don't want to leave my dp. We have been together 1.5 years and I love his company. Me & dd and ds going on holiday, feel sad that I'm leaving him for 2 weeks. As pathetic as that sounds

Has he not met your children?

Anyway, go. Concentrate on your children and have a lovely time

HulaChick · 02/12/2021 18:52

Sorry, without sounding harsh, just for God's sake enjoy your holiday with your children. I'm sure you're not a teenager, so don't behave like one!! And don't spend your whole time texting or thinking of him. Please, please, just make the most of having your children with you and enjoy your holiday!!

Sinusheadachesahhhh · 02/12/2021 19:08

I know it sounds silly. I just feel safe with him. Yes he has met dc he just can't come along as he is a paramedic & can't book holidays at short notice unfortunately

I would just think of your children and enjoy the holiday with them. Your partner is a big boy and will cope for two weeks.

Itsnotdeep · 02/12/2021 19:29

yes that is quite pathetic I'm afraid. Enjoy your dd - it's only 2 weeks.

AnyFucker · 02/12/2021 19:30

What are you ? A teenager ?

Focus on your kids.

MrsFoxyplease · 02/12/2021 19:31

I'd be looking forward to time spent having fun with my children.
They deserve your time much more than any man.

This all over. I'd give anything to have a holiday with my little girl but im embroiled in the family court and don't have permission to. You don't know how lucky you are.

I feel a bit sad that you don't want to enjoy a holiday with your children as much as you want to spend the same time with your boyfriend tbh. It's two weeks, not two months!

It's two weeks of lovely time to share with your kids and have special times you'll remember with them.

Perspective OP.

HaggisBurger · 02/12/2021 22:52

Well I’ll go against the grain and say I think it’s nice you’ll miss your DP. But enjoy your holiday 😀

Sinusheadachesahhhh · 02/12/2021 23:03

Of course I want to enjoy the holiday with my dc! I can't wait, they will have the best time ever. I'm just saying I will miss my dp, I suffer from anxiety and depression and he has been my comfort over the last few months when I have been at rock bottom when dc were in bed. We will have the best time.

I'm actually jealous - I wish I had a DP that I would miss being away from him. lol

Tyiipp · 02/12/2021 23:28

@Sinusheadachesahhhh this is so lovely OP. Just think how nice it will be to speak to him when you’re there and send pics and tell him you love him. Two weeks will absolutely fly when you’re on holiday Smile have a great time

gogohm · 02/12/2021 23:44

I would feel the same @Sinusheadachesahhhh

Covid means we've spent so much time together it would be odd to be apart now ... though at some point he will be traveling for business again.

Sinusheadachesahhhh · 03/12/2021 15:41

Thank you everyone. Yea after spending so much time together due to covid etc it will be hard being apart, although dc are going to have an amazing time!!
