Pedestal

It’s not a thing I’m showing off but my partner has put me on this pedestal. I’m the best thing to happen to her and i’m loved dearly. What do you stay if I can’t reciprocate??

There is love there but not sure it’s to the same level. We’ve been together 8 months and been honest and open, we want the house and kids.

There’s been talk of getting married, i’m more in talking stage but they’re planning it and told their parents. They are only just recently divorced and I’m happy but not sure if I can get to the stage they are at.

I think it's pretty normal to not be completely at the same level, especially so early in a relationship. However, if you feel she's 'putting you on a pedestal', it sounds like you think she's too intense/you're overwhelmed and this isn't a good sign... I think people would see this as love rather than being in awe of someone, but if you're feeling overwhelmed, then I think it's a sign that the relationship isn't going to work in the long term. I say this from experience.

You have to really dig deep and be honest with yourself if you want to have kids and a house with her, or it's just something you would be happy to do with anyone. Especially since she's recently come out of a divorce and it would be unfair to potentially put her through that again.
