Dh has form for this sort of thing but in Today's episode of how to make my life harder, dh kindly changed ds's bedding 2 days ago. Dh did not put on the waterproof cover. Ds has weed the bed. Dh did not check his bed this morning despite him being wet, or mentioning to me that he was wet when I came down. Cue me going to put ds down for his nap to discover a damp patch, no waterproof cover under his sheet and a lovely large yellow circle on his memory foam mattress that's been there for hours.

Just why?!?

Because (most) men are crap and these tiny, but very important details just do not enter their heads.

I feel you op.

They are just bloody useless at times aren't they? He was so close yet so far in competing the job properly! Really frustrating for you, I hope you manage to get the stain/smell out and he remembers to do it properly the next time.

The worst of it is, if I had said to him at the time 'did you put the waterproof sheet on?', I'd have got back 'stop checking what I do', 'stop micromanaging me' etc.

Well mate if you weren't incompetent I wouldn't bloody have to.

Well he's got a cleaning job on his hands now hasnt he? He needs to experience the consequences of his careless/lazy behaviour so dont clean it up for him.

Inactions need to have consequences
