Hiya, I've noticed on the profile of a guy I'm chatting with on bumble that his locations changes quite a bit. Sometimes he's say 10km away then 5 km etc. and then other times it just defaults to the name of the city we live in. Does this mean that he's opening the app in lots of different places (and that's when it give the distancd in kms) and when he's not active on the app it defaults to the city name? Or is it the case that when you first set up the app it gives the choice to "allow location" just this time or all the time?
Yes, I'm trying to work out if he's REALLY active on it or if it's a settings thing.

It sounds like he has location setting preferences set to update location when the app is in use. Hence the location distance changes when the app is open but reverts to not update when the app is running in the background.

But look. Unless you’ve agreed that neither of you is messaging anybody else - and it doesn’t sound like this is the case, it sounds like you haven’t even met yet - then it really isn’t worth the space in your head to be questioning what all of this “means.” Yes, he’s probably using the app in different locations like home, work, the bus ride home, when he’s waiting for his mates to show up at the pub etc. Yes, he’s probably messaging other women as well as you. This is how online dating works. You’ll drive yourself mad if you try to overthink it.

Thanks @ComtesseDeSpair ....I know you're right! We have met and I liked him and we've arranged to meet again but it does seem like he's very active on it! I'm was just kinda curious to know if it only changes when active and I guess it does
