What would you make of this?

What would you make of this? Husband admitted to having sex with escorts. He assured her that he used a condom always. One question the wife asked him was about buying condoms, i.e. she wanted to know where, when, how did he buy them and store them so that she never knew. The husband's response was to say he couldn't remember about the buying of condoms, couldn't remember where or even if he stored them, and then started garbling that he would have felt embarrassed buying condoms.

I'm really perplexed by this.

He wouldn’t need to buy them for prostitutes, surely that’s part of their uniform/work equipment.

Escorts would supply condoms - they'd want to make sure they had a stock - but will often charge more not to wear one. I would think it would be those desperate for money who'd do that.

Why is she even talking about this to him? STI check and kick him out.

He was adamant he used a condom. But when questioned as to the details, he gets flustered. I might be over-thinking, but there might be a circumstance under which a man might visit a sex worker where he doesn't think he needs a condom (other than, they have supplies)?

Escorts use condoms. There's a difference between a prostitute an escort. Prostitutes are usually, drug addicts fuelling a habit. Escorts are high end and condoms are part of the package. No condom no sex

There are many services provided by escorts that wouldn't require a condom, some of which he may be very reluctant to admit to. I think the possibility of this is higher than that of an escort allowing condom free sex.

Escorts offer a range of services, and they use condoms - usually supply their own in case the client thinks he can get away without using one. They also have regular STI checks, just in case. I hate how people talk about escorts like they have no care for their own sexual health.

Perhaps he wasn't prepared for a question about where did you buy and keep the condoms. Most men I think would expect questions about did you use a condom and did you kiss her etc. They would come out with the answers they think their partner wants to hear. I don't think most men would expect their wives to ask where did you buy the condoms! You'd remember, for sure, about buying condoms, if you've been in a relationship for a while where you don't need them. You'd remember for sure if you used the condoms supplied by the sex worker. There is a reason he cannot remember but what is that reason?

Not being able to remember buying condoms. Saying he would be embarrassed to buy condoms. Conclusion: he didn't buy condoms.

Not being able to remember if the escort supplied them. Conclusion: he didn't visit an escort.

Why would he say he visited escorts when he obviously didn't? What other questions were asked?
