I recently split with my partner of 17 years, we grew apart and I just didn't love him anymore even though he loves me. We have told the kids and my 16 year old son and 13 year daughter have said they want to live with him which has completely ripped out my heart 💔. He wanted out younger 2 to go with him too which I said no as they can't my a decision at 4 & 5 but they can stay with him whenever they wanted too. We live in a 3 bedroom council house and I'm worried now that I will loose the house as my 2 youngest are both girls, but my eldest daughter (20) stays over sometimes and I help out my disabled neighbour. I am waiting for the housing officer to phone me today. And how long would my ex have to wait for a council house as he still lives here and its awkward to say the least 🙄

I don't think you would lose the house with 2 small children! But I don't know that he would get one too, as he already has one! He might have to rent privately.

it might be that as he has the two oldest who are different gender they will say he should have the three bed and you will need a 2 bed as same gender can share a room..... if they have any spare given the state of the housing market. One of you may need to rent privately
