I am lying in bed and I am so worried. My dp has been complaining of a sore back and getting slightly breathless. He has been doing DIY in the house and thinks he has sprained it. I googled the symptoms and can't stop crying , I am thinking he may have cancer. My anxiety is through the roof. He is awaiting results of an x-ray but won't hear until Wednesday or Thursday. My legs are like jelly. Can anyone offer any kind of hope. Please be kind.

Im sorry you're feeling like this op Flowers If it helps at all, you could put any symptoms into Google and it could bring up cancer as a result. Does he have any other symptoms?

Anxiety at night is so much worse when you're tired I find, try and sleep.
You cannot rely on google to diagnose when there is so many symptoms that could be for a numerous different things, it's good to be aware of what might be cancer symptoms but most of time it's never as bad as you fear.

As your partner has been doing diy it's highly possible that it is related to that especially if the symptoms started around the same time, put faith into the doctors and they will have a better understanding with the X-ray results.

Please don't worry. There are a number of possible reasons, all more likely than cancer. Most symptoms you get you could link to cancer if you spent a bit of time online. If you are prone to anxiety in this way can I suggest you avoid Dr Google - it isn't helpful.
