Just noticed that the Kindle edition of Lundy Bancroft's "Why Does He Do That?: Inside the Minds of Angry and Controlling Men" is on offer at the moment, down to £2.50 (from £12) on Amazon.co.uk. You don't need a Kindle to read it, it can be read through a web browser or the Kindle app on a phone.

There are free PDFs, didn't notice any ads much when I looked at it. It's useful for women who can't afford it, that's why things like Freedom Programme will share the link to them.

I don't have much money (not earning due to disability) but I always buy a book/download rather than get it for free if I can afford it, because it supports the author's work.

Though i think Mr Bancroft has approved (free) eproduction of large swathes of his text.
