Has anyone managed to date when they were a fully lone parent (no involvement from the other parent so no weekends off etc) if so how did you do it and how did you manage to make it work!?

How old are your kids? Mine are school age, so I dated when I did not work/lunchbreak and no kids around. But first I started with OLD, met someone I clicked with.
Then built up to an occassional evening out when I could get a babysitter. Then slowly introduced the guy as a friend to kids, so he could come over when they asleep but if they woke up they knew it’s a familiar face.

Yes they are school age, did you have problems finding people who were available to date in school hours?

I think you will find plenty of people who are working from home and can do lunchtime date, or who are working in the area and can meet for an initial coffee? The trick is to find someone who will have time for you when you need them - so check that compatibility early on! Good luck and sorry for late reply

I think in a way this helps you sort out compatibility. You aren’t at the stage of life where you want to be out in bars until 2am. You don’t want someone who is working in an office 8-8. You want someone more solitary working from home who can meet for a Friday pub lunch. That’s what you should write on your dating profile
