how to end an online friendship

I recently started an online friendship a bloke online. We have chatted several times but I want to end it. He does not know how to contact me personally and its only through an online site. We have arranged to meet on the site in a few days to chat again. Because we have made this arrangement, I feel obliged to chat again but not after that. When we have chatted he will swant to make another day when we can chat again. Woul it be better to just say I am not sure when I am next available because I am quite busy, an then just disappear and never go back on the site. If I do that, he has not got my contact number or email adress to query why i have not been back so I can just disappear with no explanation needed and just get on with the rest of my life, That I think is better then trying to explain that he is not for me and then he will want an exxplanation and quite frankly I cannot be botheredd. I just want to vanish

He's a stranger you've chatted to a few times. You're not obligated. Just stop talking to him or do what guys do and message him saying you're busy and won't be online for awhile and then stop talking to him.

You're under no obligation to chat with him again. Nor do you owe him any explanation.

Presumably if you don't show up for your chat when you said you would,he will take the hint that you are no longer interested. We can hope. If not, most sites have block options.

You don't ever have to chat to somebody against your will just because it's what they want.

Go online, send him a message saying you won't be available, and leave it at that.
