Men experiencing higher sex drive in older age, what does this mean?

I've found a few men seeming to develop a high sex drive in older age. What could this be due to? Stress?

Men and women both experience a sense of freedom when their kids leave home or when they first leave a relationship. High sex drive can also be a code word for sleazey-boundary-pusher.

Lack of stress more like. My libido is probably better now than 10 years ago. I don't find my job as demanding as I used to and the children are older, so less work. I'm only in my 40s, so not old, but it seems to me I'll be even less stressed in a decade's time.

Really? Testosterone levels drop as men get older, so they tend to want sex less, not more (on average of course).

Thanks for your comments. I just wanted to run it past the forum. Just wondering how some men get to needing more sex in their old age.

I’m a bloke in my 50’s and to be honest I don’t know anyone in my friendship group who are like this with the exception of one who was divorced a year ago and so is happily exploring the market. Those in long standing relationships seem to just want to play sport and go to the pub nowadays.

I have been with my wife for 12 years I am 57 she is 62 fortunately we both have high/ similar sex drives
When we were both working FT we probably averaged around 7 times a week now we are both retired and have way more time we spend a lot of time playing around mostly in the morning full sex has dropped off slightly but as we have time we tend to play in the morning tease a bit in the day and catch up fully later or anytime really
I would say my sex drive is around the say as it has always been
I know I am lucky to have a wife that matches me so well in this and most things

Viagra doesn't increase sex drive.

I'd echo the less stres / more free time comments. Alternatively they may have gone on TRT.

I'd imagine it's the same reasons some women develop a higher sex drive as they age.
