Single parent and ready to date. I am not an OLD fan, it feels too much like a shop window to me - I’d rather develop something organically.

I work from home and have kids 24/7 when they are not at school - with some limited time to myself for self care that I don’t want to give up really!

How do I put myself out there in this situation and start meeting new people/putting a message out that I am single and looking for love? I just feel very limited with time and options I have, outside of the OLD.

Any advice welcome please!

If you have your children 24/7 and work when you don’t. You’re not gunna be able to meet anyone.

I mean you could join something, like a hobby. You could always ask friends to go out if you can get a babysitter.

I’m currently online dating as I don’t go out (drinking) so don’t feel I could meet someone another way.

It can be a bit hit and miss but in some cases, it’s alright. (:

Thank you @Bodgedboxdye.. that was my dilema, how am I meant to be visible to people if I am stuck indoors most of the time 🤔😂
I guess I’d need to bear with OLD at some point - good luck with your dating!

@YellowPetal I’ve actually just deactivated my account. 😂

You could always give it a try and if you find it’s not for you, you just don’t bother with it. No harm in trying. (:

There is an app and Instagram account - Frolo app. It is an app for single parents - a wonderful community. They have live meetups - picnics, walks etc etc as well as zoom and app chats about all kinds of issues, including dating.
Everyone there is a single parent and everyone is in the same boat. So all the outings happen with kids.
Obvs more mums than dads but still a way to go out and meet people.

Make your own meet-up group? Then you can tailor it to your needs. Be it single parents wanting to date or something like that.
