Husband won't settle children down and it's first day of school tomorrow!

Husband is playing games involving their bedroom mirror at 8pm when our 5 and 7 year olds should be settling down to sleep as it's their first day back to school tomorrow. I've literally had it with how DH has absolutely no respect for our routine. I've bathed them, read them a story and given them a cuddle and said goodnight, and was getting them into bed. DH has now got them all excited so they are up trying to do this trick mirror thing. I've gone into my bedroom and left him to it, saying to DH as I passed him that he can deal with this. This happens all the time. Unless I put them to bed alone, they end up messing around with him and don't get to sleep for ages. I can get them laying down settled by 7:30 and he just doesn't give a shit and continues to play with them. He's seen them all day as he did the childcare today, so it's not like he's been working in the city snd only just got home. I feel like such a cow as my little one was calling to show me the trick, but I said "it's bedtime now" and left. Does anyone else have a DH that does this?

That’s really really annoying. He’s undermining you. Fair enough if it’s a Friday or Saturday but this is passive aggressive bollocks. Time to have a conversation. Tell him you want a game cut off time of 7pm. School nights are nights for sleep not messing around

I hope he is going to get them up and take them to school tomorrow.
So thoughtless.
